Madonna was born Bay City, Michigon on August 16,
1958. Her family lived in Pontiac, Michigan at the time but were
visiting with Madonna's grandmother in Bay City she decided to
appear in the world.
Madonna grew up in Pontiac, Michigan, a suburb of detroit. Madonna's
birth mother died of cancer when Madonna was five.
Her father Sylvio tony Ciccone employed a housekeeper named Joan
Gostafson and eventually married her. they are still married.
When the house got too small for the growing Ciccone family they
moved to Rochester Hills, Michigan. Her father and step-mother
still live in this house
Madonna has 3 sisters Melanie, Paula and Jennifer
(half sister) and 4 brothers Martin, Christopher Anthony and Mario
(half brother). Madonna has only married once and that was to
actor Sean Penn on her 27th birthday, Aug. 16, 1985. The marriage
officially ended on January 10, 1989 when Madonna (for the second
time) filed for divorce (on Jan. 5th) on the grounds of irreconcilable
differences. She has not been married since.
Madonna has homes in New York (an apartment in Manhattan)
and Miami. She lives between them depending on where she is working
at the time. She formerly owned a home in Hollywood. It has been
reported that she recently bought land in Portugal for building
another home, but this point has been refuted by M herself.
Madonna has more Number 1 singles (11 in all) than
any other female artist. She is a vegetarian since 15. The wedding
with Guy Ritchie costs $35 million! it was Madonna who first made
America aware of Antonio Banderas. She gushed that he was the
sexiest man she'd ever met and vowed to seduce him. Her wedding
strapless silk ivory gown designed by Stella McCartney, daughter
of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney. Gwyneth Paltrow, Rupert Everett,
Donatella Versace and Sting were among the celebrities who witnessed
the union of Madonna and Guy Ritchie at Skibo Castle in Scotland.
